Gukesh became the youngest Indian to break into World Top 100 in the live ratings at the age of 15 years. Ten players are in the lead 3.0/3 including six Indians. Gukesh - Batsiashvili, Round 3

Position after 29.Bg1

White's position might look slightly uncomfortable. The reason behind that is Black's pieces are imposing on the king. 29...Rc2 would have maintained the pressure. However, 29...Rd6 allowed White to alleviate it by exchanging the rooks. 30.Rxc3 Nxc3 31.Rc1 Nb5 is a further mistake as 32.Rc4 forces the exchange of the rooks Rd1+ 33.Kf2 Rd4 is the only way to avoid losing material. Gukesh won the game in another twelve moves.
